Title: No headlights on XT500 H 1981

Hi.
I have a 1981 XT500H.

I have replaced
Complete wiring loom
Left hand handlebar switch
Ignition switch
Bulbs

ALL ITEMS USED ARE BRAND NEW

Still no lights...

Any ideas ?

Wiring diagram, multi-meter and patience! :( There are no quick fixes! ???

I am sorry to post such a dismal start to a new day.  :-[

Are the XT500 lights powered by the battery or lighting coil ?.

What else is working, not working or working strangely? Any glowing neutral lights? Does the battery go flat if left for a day or two?
