As for the cracked cylinder head, they all do that sir (if he means a crack from an exhaust port to the spark plug hole).

I'd be tempted to bid myself, if swmbo wasn't currently beating me up over money.

If it was closer to me I'd be tempted to go and have a look. The chap appears to have done most of the hard work already.
