hello again boys and girls,
In a previous incarnation I was a member on here, when I had a Yamaha TT600. I've had a few other bikes since, most recently a Triumph Scrambler. Anyhow, last Friday I was riding my son's Tenere up for it's 600 mile service (he rode mine to work) over the potholed cart-tracks of Ayrshire. I was thinking about the 300 odd mile range, the HUMM that I'd like to do while I can still mount such a bike and generally was very impressed by the way the bike goes and feels.
I got to Ride-On and ordered a black one, get it in 10 days.

over the potholed cart-tracks of Ayrshire.
Bl**dy artics full of opencast coal, running on 'Supersingle' wheels, aided and abetted by timber lorries using the same configuration, I bet? >:(
Similar problems with the Lanarkshire and other Central Belt byeways. Being built over peat bogs just makes the whole thing more exciting, as you watch the road ride up like a bow wave in front of the wheels! :o
Pleased to see you back.
Regards, Bill.

You should've got a beige one for our Tenere sub-section ;D Welcome back

Bill,
When they were first announced, the sandy one was my first choice on the wishlist, but that's the colour my son chose.

Welcome to the fold and can I congratulate you on an excellent choice of bike! ;D

Welcome back.
Know what you mean about the range on Bonnevilles derivatives. My own solution seems to have got slightly out of hand, sidecar and three jerry cans equals 460 miles ;D :o :-\
