I have a problem with the petrol tap on an old Z650 that I have bought off a mate. The outlet of the tap is a right angled piece that looks like it should be an interferance fit into the body of the tap.Only it isnt.I took the tank off and the outlet piece stayed in the end of the rock hard fuel line rather than staying connected to the rest of the tap.It will push back into it's hole but it won't stay there.Any suggestions to get it to stay put and not leak petrol all over the place?

Aye Dave,
Araldite! Make sure everything is grease free after lightly keying/roughing up, the mating surfaces. Apply an even thin film of Araldite, as per instructions. Leave at least 24hrs to cure in a warm, dry place.
Plan B: Visit a breakers!
My regards, Bill.

i'd try the breakers first. take you old one with you, and you'll probably find a modern one that fits for £10 (araldite is £7 a throw).
