Where MZ spares are concerned there is only one man. Call Phil at BSA-Regal you'll find it on a google search they are in Southampton and usually stuff is on the mat the next day. First class!
-
Yep BSA-Regal are first class ,
But the sport never came with a grab rail .
I think it's an after market item made by some obscurer company.
Will check with BSA-Regal though when I next order some parts .
It's only to give my nipper something to hold onto instead of giving me a spinal injury .
Tends to lean on my back and then headbutts me when braking ,
Which wears a bit thin after one hours riding in fast moving traffic .

How about one of those pillion belt things - you wear it and it has a pair of handles at the back for the pillion to hold on to?

I for one wouldn't need it. Got two lerv handles already there :-)

You must of put on some weight since I last saw you Pat !
I think it safer if the pillion holds on to the bike and more comfortable for the rider.
Come to that it's safer if the pillon stays at home .

Yup - have this theory that bikes should not have second seats and footrests - much more fun if the bird rides her own. Does not work for youngsters though.
R
The "bird" - oooops - your partner or friends of what ever type, flavour, etc I guess I should say.

Only solution I can think of is that flash soft luggage system the name of which I can't now remember - the one that has a tail pack that fits over what looks like an extended grab rail. You'll find them in the M&P catalogue they do a rack etc for the sport.

Is that the Kiwi design stuff?
'Ventura' on the MandP site!

Sort soft luggage by alphabetical order.

That's the one!!

I'm glad I didn't check the forum earlier !
It would do the job though and looks OK ,I might buy one in a month or two.
I've had a better idea ....
I've spent this evening convincing the wife that I need a Skorpion traveller !
It didn't take much effort ,as soon as I mentioned it .
she replied that's what you wanted when you bought the Skorpion sport .
So what will I come home with this time ?
As long as it has a grab rail and touring capabilities I'll get a way with it !
Also if it's a Skorpion I can keep the sport using the old excuse of "it will save a fortune in parts".
Like hell I'll take it apart !
-
Aye xbrmz,
So now your bidding for this?
220033450565
All the best, Bill
-
Well sort of ,it has a rattly top end so it will need work and spares ?
So I'm looking at 120036129148 as well !
Just for parts :)
The only problem is I can only transport one at a time and a distance of 200 miles for each bike..
I might be pushing my luck 200 miles to far !!
-
Aye xbrmz,
I'm just gawking as well, more than enough to keep me busy and penniless for years in the garage! ;-)
Do you think those are Norvil bits on the 400? I might even ask!
As for the 200 miles, van hire up here for a 'short' Trannie is £40/day including insurance and VAT + fuel.
Regards, Bill
-
Renting a transit is £99 up here for the weekend ,not including fuel .
I've got a 2 bike trailer that has a flat bed and sides fitted , 1 bike fits corner to corner .
The bike carrying parts are on loan 140 miles away in the other direction :(
As like most thumper members I've got a large garage full of bikes ,bikes in bits and projects half done .
But I'm always looking for something new to play with !
So I'll have a go at bidding on the maroon one And hope the head doesnt need to much ££££ .
One at a time will keep the peace and bring the total to 6 bikes :)

You've no idea how much better that makes me feeabout the contents of my garage/garden/lockup!! :) ;)
-
Well that must be the most expensive grab rail I've ever bought .
Bidding finished at £360 not that it really got going .
All I have to do is collect it :)
And make room for it in the garage.
Next to one of those Ventura rack ,bag and L brackets £199.95 ,grab rail is £19.00 extra. might get one at some point .
The traveller is a bargain .........
This is depending on how much money the head requires ,
