I'm thinking of getting one of these tents http://www.simplyhike.co.uk/ProductDetails.aspx?StockID=34005 (http://www.simplyhike.co.uk/ProductDetails.aspx?StockID=34005)
Its looks the right size etc, has anyone got an opinion on Coleman tents.

Good quality - does what it says on the tin. The poles can be a bit tight and they are sometimes reluctant to go back in there bags in wet weather. I have had two colemans at least and have never had a problem.

4 pole geodesic tents are about as robust as it gets. The negatives are low tent height and often not a lot of porch room for cooking in bad weather.
It looks impressive and if I'm right it erects flysheet first, which is always a bonus in bad weather.
Coleman tents always seem to be heavy for their size, but tough and well made.

I've got an 2 man,Aztec 5 pole geodesic jobby.
Porch is not too bad a size, have cooked in it.
Got it for a similar price off the web somewhere.
Gwent Camp Center, top of Stow Hill, stock them.
And a fair price there too.

Bought one locally, not easy to erect in the living room, but like a cathedral inside compared to my last tent. As you say porch is quite small, but big enough for panniers/boots etc.

Anybody want to buy an inexpensive but very usable tent?
I have one to sell - brand new, unused. (Just bought a bigger one instead)
Gelert Tornado 3
http://www.gelert.com/products/Tornado_3.aspx
£30 plus postage at cost - or collect from me in North Wales.
(Or make me an insulting offer that I can't refuse...)

Update - I've just sold my Tornado 3 tent to a friend - but I do have another slightly smaller one to sell.
This is a Gelert Rocky 3 - in blue - brand new and unused (last years' stock)
http://www.gelert.com/products/Rocky_3.aspx
This one is even lighter and is ideal for the back of a medium-weight bike and still gives lots of room inside.
I can do this one for £28 plus postage at cost.
(I bought a load of surplus stuff from a friend's shop - I used to be in the outdoor trade - and took the lot to get the bits that I wanted. I'm selling the surplus off for what it cost me... No catches, ask me anything you like and I'll try to help. May have some more stuff later when I've sorted it. Got some good rucksacks as well. Anyone want me to post a list?)
ps - my name is Jan and I come from Llanberis - you can see pics of 2 of my bikes in the gallery...

Hello Jan
Unless Pat is "desperate for it" (Phnar, Phnar) I'll take this one off your hands!

Jan the CL250 looks l-o-v-e-r-l-y by the way! ::)

Hiya Mini Thump...
Sure - let me know where you are - I'll check postage cost to you a bit later in the week - it's a great little tent - I used to use very expensive tents, but these inexpensive ones from Gelert are good kit and serve just as well - I use a Tornado one myself.
Oh - and the everso cute CL250 is up for grabs as well - with lots of spares - it's a great little bike, quite rare and always attracts attention.

I could be interested in a rucksack, ideally something in the 80 litre range.

Hello Again Jan
I'm in Derby. My son was thinking about buying a small bike, any ideas what the CL might sell for?

Hi Jan,
I do like the CL250......I seem to remember a Crawler gear on the one I rode.
Pull in the clutch, another lever somewhere and put it down into an extra gear.
A lower ratio than first.
