Title: ANNUAL RALLY (Definative Dates & Location)

Sorry to be a complete pain but the dates of the Annual Rally have had to be changed from those recently published. The new, immovable & fixed, dates and location are as follows:

27-29 June 2008
Ukrainian Centre
Weston On Trent
Derby
DE72 2BU

It will cost £3.50 per tent per night (payable at the venue, there will be NO pre-booking). The site has showers and toilets and has been used as a Rally venue by other motorcycle clubs. There are two pubs about ten minutes walk away in Weston-on-Trent. As per previous years, there will be some sort of hot meal for the Friday night.

The rally site has plenty of space, and I think we will possibly be the only people there. If you could let me know if you (and spouses, friends etc.) are coming, either by replying here or by e-mail, it will make it easier to organise things.

You used the word 'organise' TUT TUT!

Will the club marquee and other such items that I have collected over the years be required and will I be expected to bring them down?

OR will this be one of the discussed 'minimalistic' events?

too much luxury is corrosive - Go on Boyd go minimalist - no tents allowed only bivvies and shelter sheets, cold MOD rations and cheap Gin. ;D

We must not forget that this is our club annual rally and people come from all over the place including some of the Dutch / Belgium contingent and if the weather is inclement the marquee is ideal. If Boyd intends to do some form of catering where / how will he do it for 30 plus persons?

Boyd, I couldnt make the July date, June is easier so I shall endeavour to be there.

Hi Boyd, Pat & I won't be able to make it this year after all, we're booked the on ferry to Ireland on the Saturday morning with the DR 800.....good luck anyway.
See you on Thursday, that is if you are going to Llanthony on Thursday.
