Hello Guys (and Girls?)
My name is Neil and I'm a 44 year old ex bike cop from Kent, UK. I have just found this forum and thought I'd register and introduce myself here on this thread. I ride a Yamaha XT600E and a Honda XBR500 both of which are Immaculate and low mileage. Although I have had the XBR for many years, I have recently returned to biking after a 10 year break. My partner Kim isn't exactly happy I have started riding again because she thinks of bikes as being dangerous! I look forward to many interesting discussions with all you bikers out there.....
All the very best to you all.

Hi, welcome to the forum, based upon your background and training,I would have thought your partner would have been confident in your ability on a bike. Oddly enough my wife says she trusts me more on a bike than in the car !.

Hi Neil, and welcome ! :)
I too have an XBR although its far from imaculate- well I have some imaculate piles of XBR- I would be interested in seeing a pic of your XBR as a pointer of how mine goes back together. ::)
I should've made notes... :'(

Spring must be just around the corner what with all these new (and interesting) potential new recruits!
Welcome one and all. If the club ever gets it's act together you may even be asked for some money.

Hi Neil.
I'm another XBR owner. It's a bit scabby but it looks ok at a glance, rarely gives me any trouble and suits me very well (I'm a bit scabby too).
As for partners, negotiations with my Wife about letting me get an outfit to take the kids to school are not going well at the moment. She also thinks bikes are dangerous and she's the one with all the money round here so I don't have a leg to stand on.
A mate of mine recently bought an XT600, fantastic bike, beautiful nick and he got it for an absolute steal. Jammy git.

Greetings!
I have an SRX400 and a wife who is a biker chick as she has a CBR600. A previous neighbour (from SA) couldn't understand that my bike was smaller than my wife's. He thought I was having a joke because women cant ride, apparently. It's good to see that chauvinism is alive and kicking in the Southern hemisphere.
Welcome to the club!
