I've just found out that the annual Lincolnshire Wolds Run which raises money for the national Lymphoma charity has been cancelled for 2008. It appears that it has become a victim of it's own success - some 600 bikes took part last year raising over £8k for the charity. However, the organisers have decided that the event has become too big and cancelled this years run. To be fair, the run takes place on some very small, twisty Lincolnshire back roads and was originally completed by a handful of vintage machinery. However in recent years it has been open to all riders and taking 600 plus bikes down these roads is unfortunately going to have genuine health and safety implications. Shame as it was a very good and well supported event. :(

Reading the Old Bike Mart at work today, it seems that the run may still go ahead but not from the Morton's premises but somewhere else in the local area.......so there may be more info next month.

Any idea if they will be running the Lancaster bomber up that day?
-
Do they give any contact details in Old Bike Mart? I couldn't find anything on the website, that shows March issue, and the Wolds run site is still only showing it as cancelled?
The East Kirkby website shows they are doing taxi runs with the Lanc' at 1.30 and 4.0 pm
