Just finished reading Eric Williams 'Great Air Battles', again. Its only been 31 years since I last read it. Oops! Where did that time go?
Blame it on my eldest daughter. She asked me what a mushroom cloud was?! My fetid brain burbled into life and I drew that book off the shelf, inhaled its dust, and turned to the last story as there was a picture of a mushroom cloud. Fantastic. Why can I remember that after all these years, but cant remember peoples names?
Anyway, its a great book. Full of short descriptive narrative with accounts from actual participants including the atomic bomb drop on Hiroshima from the eyes of a resident, the captain of a Zeppelin in WWI, and various other superb stories. I recommend it.
Any one else read it?

Nope, but I shall look out for it, it sounds great (to someone who grew up reading the books of a certain Capt W. E. Johns...) ;D

My Blackie and Sons collection was missing "The Boy Biggles" for may years - dont know why but they deleted it from the set at some point. Bumped into it in a charity shop not long back for 50p
Now have the full set (still) sat on my shelf - now to complete that set of Pookie the rabbit with wings set.
