Ok, so on Friday afternoon I changed the back tyre. All the usual hassle of removing the silencers, luggage rack, lineing up the flexible chain adjusters etc. aside, I've gone and lost a tyre lever ???
How you can loose a foot long steel bar in a ten foot by twenty-five foot shed is beyond me. I know it's not in the tyre :-[ The only remaining theory is that the dog has had it and it's now under three feet of soil along with his other belongings (new rubber bone that tasted wrong, 13 month old chews etc.)
Anyone think of other stupid places to look?

Did you answer the phone halfway through and leave it in the house? ::)

No nasty bulge in the tyre is there??

under the passenger seat of the car, or in the wifes handbag (well, thats where all my losses turn up)
and don't think a foot of mild steel bar won't fit in a handbag....they are like the tardis... can't believe what comes out of swmbo's bag.....talking of which......I want a Sonic Screwdriver!

You will find it in the last place you look.... ;D ;D ;D

No luck so far. >:(
However, I've ordered a new one and upon loosing the receipt, guess who'll have a sudden surplus of tyre levers old and new ;D

Its wedged under that piece of furniture that sits unevenly or in the fridge.

***ing thing turned up :-[
Under a pile of wood about 2 feet from where I was looking :-[ :-[
In my defence, there was a hideously mouldy dog chew and some wood lice in there with it, which suggests it wasn't entirely down to me it got in there. Anyone seen the Ford adverts with the robot dog? I think they modelled "stupid Dogbot" on something currently annoying a cat about 10 feet from me!
Anyone need a slightly used tyre lever? I'll give it a good wash :)
