Now there is a first! Lifted the frost stiffened cover off the bike this morning and got ready to start it. However, the start button had frozen in the disengaged position. In fact, all the switchgear on the right bar was frozen in position! Naturally, I got into a bit of a panic as I do love to go to work :'( and was wondering how I was going to get the old beast started. Then the ice broke and the party started and off we went.
However, I want more frost; I want a mass genocide of those horrid little European midges that bit me senseless this summer. >:( Oh, and it might lead to some snow like what we used to have! :D

SNOW????????

Yeah, it's our equivalent of sun, makes you wear dark glasses and idiots try to blame it for avoidable accidents caused by their own lack of ability/foresight/brains.
Try wilkepedia for more detailed info ;) :P

Rain is our equivilent of WA's Sunshine - not snow.

Ahhh, there speaks the honorary Welshman.... :P ;D
Doesn't really rain here, we have Glasgow and the West Coast to get rained on so that we don't have to ;D
Oh and if you don't believe me download a run of satellite rainfall prints and you can watch it happen :o
For a while I had the misfortune to work in Cowal forrest near Loch Eck and we were informed that the rainfall was high enough that the forest officially could be classed as "rainforest!!

Still want my snow though....

West Coast, Atlantic rain forest. It hasn't changed and in 40 years time predicted to become wetter! I'll try and send you the modelled images.
As for snow, last Friday night produced the first fall at the house. It did nae last, but we did have white on the ground for at least 2 hours and about 2" deep. Plenty on the hills and the upper ski runs at Cairngorm are open this weekend. Get the Grizzly out!

Just while we are in the company of the Scottish contingent, I saw a remarkable docco on the sea eagles being reintroduced up there... incredible country and spectacular views. You must be feeling very guilty there Bill up in the wilds. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
