As it was such a soggy weekend I finally managed to get out in the garage for a few hours to do some work on the bikes. The XBR got an the front caliper cleaned up as one of the pistons was sticking a little. The GN250 was finally fitted with a decent headlight. The standard article is c**p and positively dangerous on open roads at night, Partly due to the puny 45watt pre-focus bulb and partly to a really rubbish reflector/lens design. It now has a 55/60 watt H4 halogen headlight from a Honda CB350S ;D 99P on Ebay!!!! (same as the XBR light). I can now see at night!! ;D ;D
Finally the mighty Russian steamroller - Ural M67 - was dragged out from the dust cover after I received the latest copy of the COC magazine. It was laid up 5 years ago when it started making nasty noises from the engine - could be the mains or the aftermath of the infamous 'hand granade' alternator. After a quick clean down it looks pretty good, it kicks over Ok too.
I think I may have found the winter project........ ;D

oooh - I had a CB350S and it did have a good headlight. Apparently there were only 1750 of those bikes sold in the UK, so well done! The CB350S was a good bike, and for some strange reason Honda replaced it with the appaling CB450.
