Ok - so who can explain THIS (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2007/10/26/nsex126.xml)?
Not sure how and why it would be a crime...

Perhaps because the bike looks to be less than 5 years old???? ::)

I love my Brooks saddle... but not to that extent :o

MMm I too have spent many a happy hour rubbing oil into my Brooks and then polishing it lovingly with my bum (AKA riding the bike) :o ;D ;D
-
Hmmm...
What a fella chooses to do with his bicycle in the privacy of his own room is surely nobodys business but his own. It might have been wise to stop when he heard the door being unlocked but then he may have been caught at the point of no return and there's no saying what goes through the mind of a bicycle shagger in a crucial moment.
-
At least he was (trying) to keep his activities private unlike the fellow in the same article who seemed to preffer shagging pavements, hardly discrete and must have required considerable use of KY!
-
I love my Specialized Langster.......but not THAT much :o
-
But on a more serious note - why has he been put on the Sex Offenders Register?

I use :od to have a big "chopper" back in the seventies, but my mum stopped me using it!
-
well, he's on the sex offenders register to protect all those innocent bikes out there....
But....hey...surely 'having sex' with something or someone implies the other parties agreement/acceptance/consent.....now....to the best of my knowledge (limited in this area admittedly) bikes and pavements are not in a position to give consent....surely this was rape, and should have carried a far stiffer (lol) penalty?
Anyway...I will avert my gaze when I'm lubricating my bottom bracket in future...you can't be too careful in these PC days!
-
Ahh but consent was not denied
Careful with that botom bracket - especially if you are cranking at the time.

Perhaps he misinterpreted the protestations of the squeeky brakes as squeals of encouragement.

You have to remember that it was in Scotland, not England/Wales and they have some strange sexual habits North of the border along with different laws. Something to do with a sexual conduct likely to cause a Breach of the Peace, which we don't have. I shall check out the new Act to see what might have been an appropriate charge.
I remember my caving club having a paper cutting on the wall of a local farmer having been caught in flagrante delicto with a cows nostril whilst standing on a stool or something. Now he probably would have gone on the register.
Probably rode a Thumper, except then it would have been a rabbit instead of a cow.
