Is anyone bidding on that SRX400 in Romsey?
I rather like the look of it and may well enter the fray.
Incidentally, I have given up the idea of a new bike... :(

looks good.
If you want a really tatty (but serviceable) one at a really cheapo price give me a call
I'm not a fan of the 400e, what with the monoshock rear suspension (and even HEAVIER frame)
and no kick start (I know I'm a boring old fart, but if it ain't got a kick start it's a girly bike, with lots more things to go wrong on it)
I'll get my zimmer frame..

Steve:
I know you're a boring old fart too. However, I have to agree with you. In fact, there really is nothing more boring than pushing a heavy turd of an MZ skorpion down the street to get it started!
Kickstarts never go flat (unless you're *REALLY* old!!

I have cogitated about bidding as I own a non-working SRX400E already. So, I figure a working one would be a useful addition to my complete pile of spares!
Its all down to economics. 150 mile round trip to pick up something I haven't even looked at and that is assuming I win the auction. Cost of train fare, or cost of petrol for the car and drag the missus & incumbents (kids) to Hampshire and let them find their way back. Hmm.
I am a little reticent to bid as the seller still hasn't answered my question about rust in the tank. I have a rusty tank already and the woes that has caused are recorded elsewhere in this magnificent website.
Arghhh! I am doomed to ride the wife's CBR for ever...............
