I have heard on good authority that Honda are going to produce "the bike they always should have done" ie an enlarged version of their best selling GB 350S. I'm told it's going to be a 500 but it won't be a new engine, just a re hash of the present engine. I just hope they test/strengthen the bottom end if necessary. (Deja vu?). Time will tell.
Cheers Ian 🤞

i'm thinking that if they do go ahead it'll end up like the SRX a bike Yamaha made 'cos in the 80's everyone said they wanted a nice big single, no frills, slim, tidy & good looking.
the motoring press rubbished it for not being electric start
so they produced an electric boot version
then it got rubbished for high weight and low power
they did all the right things but bikes with 60 odd bhp and kick start don't appeal to the average biker..
us thumpeteers are a rare breed these days

Honda have now released the CB500, 28bhp (how is that possible, did they leave the stable door open so some escaped?) and 43 Nm torque. It looks very similar to the 350, but seems to have more electronics now, which I'm not a fan of. I'm sure it will be good, but if I wanted a bigger bike than Sid the Enfield I'd go for an Interceptor.
Itsme.
