Title: RS250 Clocks
Post by: xbally on September 21, 2025, 10:10:45 AM
Does anyone have a problem with these?
I must have had at least 5 different sets on my current RS which I've owned for about 12 or more years now.
The damping has just gone on my last Speedo but I've also had the needles brake off, excessive noise of the gears in the instrument heads (both Speedo and tacho) or they just seem to stop working.
Plays havoc with keeping a note of the correct mileage and looks a bit dodgy when you are trying to sell.
My bike is now tax and MOT exempt but I do have the old MOT's going back many years but not quite as far back as to the first one at 3 years old.

Well, touch wood Martin. Having now done approximately 700 miles on the RS I bought from Kevin, I’ve so far not had any issues with mine.
Cheers, Michael

The speedo needle dropped off mone so I made a new one from a coffee chain wooden stirrer. A purist might have changed the rev counter to suit.

Ahh… but you could have always claimed that the rev counter needle was the fake one Ian. Just to really upset the purists 😁

Oh yes  I remember you posting about what you did now Ian.
I'm not that resourceful unfortunately.
