Hi folks, it`s been a very long time since I`ve posted on here, hope you are all keeping well?
I`ve just bought a 500 Rotax engined MZ Country and waiting delivery. It`s a UK bike but I`m still here on the Isle of Man so I have to wait.
I was wondering where the best place would be to get service items? IE cambelt, filters, etc?
many thanks :-)

Morning Steve. It’s Good to have you back on board, so to speak. Unfortunately I can’t help with any of your requests but hope you enjoy the bike once it lands.
Keep us posted 👍
Cheers, Michael

Morning yesir!
Shame the Southern 100 was hit by the rain t'other night. Fingers and all else crossed for tonight.
As for the Countryman spares? It was a rare bird back in the day and cycle parts won't be easy, I would suggest you have a looksee for German/Continental forums.
The Rotax motor is a rugged bit of kit. If you need parts/tuning etc. then ex-REME man at Sportax Racing is probably a good contact, here is the web site link:

Good health, Bill

Hi Bill !!!
thanks for the info, I`ll have a skeet!
Yes, the good old Manx weather stopped procedures last night but for a change the sun is shining today, and looks good for the rest of the week, so all things should go to plan for the Southern. And I`ll be able to ride to work on the little Enfield too :-)

Hi Bill,
just to let you know I contacted Sportax Racing as you recommended, at they were great, very helpful and I`ll be placing an order with them later!
Many thanks for the lead, much appreciated. :)

Aye Steve, pleased that you have obtained what you required.
Good health, Bill

These guys are an alternative source for Rotax parts - https://www.lmslichfieldltd.com/epages/BT4011.mobile/?ObjectPath=/Shops/BT4011 (https://www.lmslichfieldltd.com/epages/BT4011.mobile/?ObjectPath=/Shops/BT4011)

Excellent! Thank you ;)

Morning Steve,
Further links for spares etc.:
Force_Motorcycles (https://www.forcemotorcycles.com/)
Rotax_Co_UK (https://www.rotax.co.uk/)
Force Motorcycles are the original company and now have an offshoot named Rotax UK, who claim to be the "Worlds Largest Rotax Parts Supplier". It appears that they have purchased all the redundant, more than 10 years old, stock from Rotax, as these spares are no longer required to be held by the manufacturer under current EU Law.
There is also this website that has links to parts lists etc that could be useful, published by "Jampot" from what appears to be a Danish website.
Jampot.dk_Technical_HarrisG80_archive (https://archives.jampot.dk/Technical/HarrisG80/)
That should give you some reading for the breaks between the races! ;)
Good health, Bill

Aye Steve,
My pleasure. I see from the webcams that the south end is a bit drizzly, whilst Peel, Ramsay and the Mountain are bright and almost sunny! Bit of fishing off the brekkie this morning looks OK!
Good health yessir, Bill

;D ;D You know more than me Bill!!
I`m stuck at work in Douglas which is nice, bright and sunny at the moment, after some drizzle earlier.
Hopefully better tomorrow so I can come to work on the RE.
Cheers yessir .... Steve :-)
