Title: Dommi carb faults
Post by: Ken on May 24, 2007, 07:17:29 PM
Just some comments that may help other Klein carb users.
In the last 6 weeks my Nx650 has been giving problems that seemed like a blocked  slow jet. it would not run under 4000rpm. If I remove clean and refit the carb all is well for a few days. I have cleaned the tank filter completely cleaned the carb and all jets 5 times now.and could just about do it blindfolded. I have also fitted an in line filter. On my way to work today it gave the same symptoms so i decided that instead of removing the carb I would blow air back down the bleed holes in an attempt to clean it without another carb removal. To my supprise i found the slide piston in its upper position .Not seized but held by the fold in the rubber diaphragm and suspect this was the problem all along. In an attempt to cure this I have just extended the slide spring a little and so far all is well.
So if you even have the same symptoms  check this first
