Well I finally got moved proper and now have internet as well, at present i only have four bikes and they are all up here, however the RE classic is still at the dealers awaiting it`s new petrol tank from India, a warranty job but taking ages, 2 months now ! So i am using the Conda and my little Negrini. I am finding some smashing roads, Dalveen Pass is very nice and the little roads around Thornhill, Ae and Loch Ettrick are pleasant. as are the ones at the other side of Auldgirth (where i stay) towards, Dunscore and New Galloway.

Very nice too Rufus! Just be careful when slurry spreading starts! ;)
Pleased that you are properly "moved in".
Good health, Bill

Ride across the Dalveen Pass, very pleasant, Conda running well... :)

Cracking photos Mr Spooky. Looks like you had brilliant weather. Glad to hear that the bike is going well too. 👍👍

It’s a magical part of the world (esp if not raining) - Dalveen Pass is a favourite (and there’s the lovely Drumlanrig cafe at Thornhill), as is Mennock Pass, nearer Sanquhar. And the A713. And the 711 round the coast (nice cafe at Loch Arthur…). And…
Have you been past the slightly oddball bike guy on the tiny road from A76 near Closeburn to Ae Village? I once stopped to take photos, ended up a couple of hours there drinking his tea.
There’s also a guy near Thornhill with maybe 30 bikes inc a couple of Ridge Ulsters, and “a Rolls for the missus”.
You’ll be very very happy there, I’m sure.

Really pleased for you Rufus and glad you are making the best of your new area and the Conda. I have ridden around the Dumfries and Galloway roads many times with my mate Dave who used to live at Caerlaverock. Fabulous area. Is a Northern rally a possibility in future?

Yes, you've chosen a lovely area to live Rufus, lots of brilliant, quiet roads and fantastic scenery. 👍
