I had a couple of problems with the GN250 Mighty Midget that were just a bit irritating but not enough to want to spend money. I have mentioned the wooden feel of the front brake before but I also needed a slightly longer side stand as I fitted 20mm longer shocks.
The only bits I had in the garage were off a Honda CBF500 so I thought I would try them anyway. Bloody hell what a pleasant surprise. The CBF master cylinder, reservoir and lever fit lovely, even letting me use the Suzuki handlebar clamp with the mirror attached and has provided a much better feeling brake. The side stand also went straight on and is now letting the MM lean at a much better angle. I might see if the spare CBF motor will fit the Suzuki frame next!
Lovely to actually do a job that cost nothing and has been a great improvement.

Blimey, great result Ian, things like that never happen to me. Usually it's the other way round - I buy parts at great expense, allegedly specific to my make and model, and they don't fit! 🙄

Yes great little story Ian with a happy ending and as I’ve said before I just love a happy ending. Great result 👍

Thank you gentlemen. Like my namesake in the A Team, Hannibal Smith, 'I love it when a plan comes together'!
