Hi Thumperteers
After complaining about stupid people who use ebay I thought it would be nice to tell you a positive story. I was contacted on Wednesday via an ebay message asking if I still had my CBF500 for sale. I messaged the guy and said if he was a joker with a silly offer I wasn't interested. He turned out to be a really nice guy who was looking for an honest bike to ride whilst he considered what to buy next. He turned up when he said he would and paid the full asking price with no haggling. Whew what a relief.
Good people are out there and that is worth remembering.

Great news Ian.... so what do you intend to buy with all that cash burning a hole in your pocket 💵💰😉

Hi Michael
I would love to report that I am going to by an XT500 or maybe a Ducati 350, but the reality is I will be buying a decorator to paint my front room and kitchen or a gardener to sort out making the garden more maintenance free! Boring I know but sadly necessary.
I am very happy with the GN250, though 10 more BHP and a lift in torque would be welcome, but on the whole it satisfies my riding needs. The house has been very neglected bless it and with my arm still being duff I can't do the simple jobs (though I did fit a new kitchen tap, am I a plumber now Michael?) so the money will pay for someone to do at least some of those jobs.

It's always nice to hear a happy ending!

It's always nice to hear a happy ending!
Hear hear..... I absolutely love a happy ending 🤘

Point of order, please, gentlemen! This is a motorcycle forum. Decorating and/or gardening do not a happy ending make. Only the Yam or the Duke could do that. Tsk, Tsk!

Yes... of course you are quite correct Matt. I really don’t know what came over me, I clearly must have had one to many single malts at the time of writing my last post.
SO... I hear by withdraw my last post. I want it noted please that I do NOT love a happy ending when said ending ending involves decorating or gardening 😉

Aye Michael, but if you were getting the plumbing job afore hand, thank you very much. ;D
Spartacus, I hope that you can make some more progress with the healing that enables you to be better able. Nowt worse than the brain going for it and the body saying "No!".
All the best, Bill
