Visordown: PCC wants all motorcycles fitted with trackers and speed monitors.

She's trying to rush through legislation, having heard about Michael's recent acquisition 🤔
Do you think she might be taking down particulars herself? 😛
-
Given the fact that I’m STILL waiting for my registration to come through, I don’t think they need to bother putting a blinking tracker or speed limiter on my bike as it’s NOT going anywhere fast at present 😡😡
-
And the PCC has already backtracked on the suggestion.

Lets be honest though it wasn't a runner.

Any comment that I would make would be VERY unPC, or PCC! :-X >:( :-X >:(:-X >:( :-X >:( :-X
Perhaps Randy Mamola should give her a spin on the Ducati MotoGP 2 seater! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

With such a speedy, not to mention deft, sidestep, she has all the makings of a fine politician 🙊
-
Puts me in mind of that Head of North Wales police Richard Brunstrum(?) years back.

Aye,
The reporting is as shonky as the ladette PCC Commisioner! >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(
Here is the the "VisorDown" headline: "THE Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) who was pushing for mandatory motorcycle trackers has admitted that he will rethink his proposal after the public outcry." Not exactly "gender neutral" for a Labour Party member, without one!
This is the "Wikipedia", CV for the Northumbria PCC Commissioner: "Kim McGuinness is a British Labour Party politician who has been the police and crime commissioner for Northumbria since a by-election on 18 July 2019. McGuinness was born in Newcastle and was elected to represent the Lemington ward on Newcastle City Council in 2015, before joining the authority's cabinet in 2016 as Executive Member for Culture, Sport and Public Health. Elected at 34, she is the youngest Police and Crime Commissioner in England and Wales."
Bright, well educated, intelligent, but makes policy "on the hoof" and has little nouse and as a politician, a bit of a "gobsh*te". As mthee says "With such a speedy, not to mention deft, sidestep, she has all the makings of a fine politician 🙊" ;) ;) ;)
Now to more important matters, that wiring diagram in Italian for the Moto Morini 125H!! ::) ::) ::)
OH! Good shopping trip today! ;D ;D ;D ;D
Good health, Bill

I totally agree with Kim McGuinness on the use of vehicle trackers to catch the criminals.

Ron.

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D I thought the same Ron.
Note, they got a 2 year final warning, rather than the heave. :( :( :( :( I wonder if they all have degrees? Very intelligent, but lacking in nouse. Should be back on foot for 2 years, on probationers money, as well as the final warning.
Good health, Bill

I'm not giving away anything here but my son used to work for Kwikfit and all I will say is if you have a fast car don't ever let them have it out of your sight. Fortunately he has grown up now and is more responsible.

Way back, in the early '80's, whilst visiting a builders merchant on the Longman Industrial Estate in Inverness on a Saturday morning, a young apprentice from the Audi dealership came past in an early Quattro, giving it the berries! :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( Not 100yds from the fire station and heading for the harbour the Quattro collided with an oncoming car, then hit the kerb and street furniture, before stopping in a cloud of steam and pool of oil from a clanking engine! ::) :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
We didn't go home the way we came, due to the police, fire crew and recovery vehicles closing the road! :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[
