Hi Guys
I went to CMC at Clay Cross today as the weather was lovely and there was a burger van in the car park! There were a few bikes there but everyone was being sensible so no worries.
When I got on my bike to leave I found my back tyre as flat as the proverbial fart so I thought I would be in for a long wait for recovery, however there was a Good Samaritan lurking in the crowd. A fella wandered over and asked if I wanted him to plug the tyre so I gratefully accepted. 5 mins later and my tyre was repaired and ready to go.
I offered to buy him a bacon buttie but he wouldn't accept anything. What a great guy. When I got home I ordered my own repair kit and will 'pass on' the favour if ever called upon to do so.

Great story Ian. Bikers are great!

Yes... great stuff indeedy. Good to know there are still (a few) decent folk out there. Can’t believe he didn’t take you up on the bacon buttie. 👍👍

Oh no, you don't think I was saved by a VEGAN do you?! The shame of it.
Actually I think he was just a really nice guy who didn't see why he should be rewarded for being decent. Pity there aren't more like him in the world.

Perhaps (hopefully?) there are more than we are made aware of as bad news always sells papers.

Indeed it does Ian. I’m pretty sure there are quite a few decent folk out there but as you say “no news like bad news”
