Case hardening? With a glow like that from your nether regions, you'll have roasted nuts if now't else!
Better watch out in case the stove fetishists get some funny ideas!
Bye bye, Bill

Scary, really really scary... but also worryingly cool :o

Mmmm - do you think I could get a pulse jet to fit a CG chassis? - Mind he is building one into a go-kart.. (Turbo not pulse I think)

Perfect! I want one for my Skorpion.

Cool, but crappily inefficient... It used a full bottle of gas in 4 minutes and achieved ummm 70mph. If you ran a piston motor on propane you'd a) probally get about 30 miles a bottle, and b) make that little kart do 100+ with ease...

But I bet you can't build a home made piston motor without a proper workshop.... no practical use though you're quite right. Too noisy too inefficient, too damn dangerous! But hey, that's why it's fun :D

Piston engines are more efficient but not at all dramatic. Have a listen at the thing! And the flame!

Oh I dont dismiss it lightly! If I was going to join the gas nutters club, it'd be with a turbo modified into a gas turbine engine. Now they make VERY scarey noises, and can be built in a shed with a hammer and some duct tape...

I always thought of the u tube motors as being crude and inefficient. A homebrew gas turbine however ticks more boxes. Ive got enough half built junk projects to last a lifetime already and thus so far have resisted the urges...

I'm now sticking my fingers in my ears, shouting "Nurse! my medication QUICK!" and running away from the shed full of existing projects! :o
