XBR v GB wiring
« on: December 20, 2019, 11:41:59 AM »
I've been using SteveC#222's GB500 diagram, but was recently given the XBR specific one by Mutt. Thanks to both!
I noticed that the GB starter button is wired to cut the headlight whilst engaging the starter motor, but the XBR isn't.
Anyone know why?
Also, in my electrical infancy, I don't understand why the 2 position dimmer switch is shown with a 3rd position -  (N) ??? The diagram below is for the GB to show the starter wiring. The dimmer wiring is the same for both GB and XBR. Thanks.

Here's a better diagram, showing the dimmer switch with a 3rd (middle?) position, in which both high and low beams are connected to the battery simultaneously. Eh? I'm sure it's my lack of knowledge  ::)
