Our Club arranged it's first pre-1990 run yesterday to encourage members to dig out some of their older machines. We managed to get 24 riders out with 18 on older bikes on what turned out to be a glorious day using very minor road in the Strangford Lough area. One of the photos shows a local watering hole in the background known as Daft Eddies (Or not-so-Daft-Eddies judging by the crowd there yesterday!). The wee Velocette was ridden by an elderly man whose father purchased it new in 1929 - he remembered travelling to local road races as a child with his father using a makeshift pillion arrangement. Probably not one for the health and safety mob!
A very enjoyable day and another 125 miles clocked up on my 57 AJS 16MS - I even touched 50mph at one point!

Tony
