Fantastic weekend with Bob and Crazyfrog. A Himalaya, 1977 Bmw, and a Jawa 350. Almost 500 miles done. weather fantastic and Tankfest is mind blowing, especially when the MBTs are out in the arena. Highlights for me were the Panther over from France, and the Dutch army Boxer eight wheeler. A total beast of a thing! The re enactors encampment was brilliant and there was access into the huge storage facility, which isn't normally open to the public. We made it to the museum at Bourton on the Water on the way down, as well as Compton Abbas Airfield, where Robin met us and treated us to tea and cake, and Wellesbourne aircraft museum on the return journey. Both the Square and Compass, and Kings Arms got a severe hit on the two nights, and although Toms Field was full when we got there, we got into the nearby Acton Farm at £8 per night.
Only criticism is that the south of England needs to have a cull of people! Traffic was pure sh!te both on the Friday and Sunday
