Cosford Air Show
« on: April 30, 2019, 08:47:34 AM »
Just booked my ticket for this year, Sunday 9th June. At £30 it may sound expensive, but I can assure you, after attending last year, it is well worth the money!
Just posting this in case anyone else would like to join me. Cosford is the RAFs only airshow, and is near Telford, and ten miles north of me in Bridgnorth. If anyone wants to stay at mine the night before or after, that is no problem at all. Just let me know, as its first come first served  :D
Alternatively there are some nice B&Bs nearby.
One last thing, you need to pre book your ticket for Cosford online.

Hi Steve, the museum itself is worth a full day on its own, so let me know if you fancy a visit. To be honest, the day of the Airshow, there is so much to see in the air, and so many static displays, that you don't have time to visit the museum itself. Tank fest at Bovington is exactly the same. You just dont have the time to see round the museum  :-\

Believe it or not, I've never been round the museum, so I'd be up for that as a day out some time.  :)

Yep, I am definitely up for that Pete. Lets discuss some day trips of this ilk on Thursday mate  :)
Anyhoo, I can report that Cosford air Show was awesome as usual, with loads to see on the ground as well as in the air. Highlights were definitely the P51 Mustang, Battle of Britain Flight, Typhoon, Chinnook display, Apache display, and a couple of the foreign jets. Not to mention the Red Arrows of course  :)
