your problem is you are a bit short , but it is possible to lower every bike by a few inches , its easy done , wont cost a fortune
the main problem is there are not many singles produced nowadays , ok some  trailies but for people like me who dont like the traillie style ....
so i stick with the 150cc-250cc bikes and my next will be from china , the only marketsegment
where singles are the norm and they are getting better, best in the moment are bikes from zongsheng , they also produce now for piaggio italy , means they produce parts for all kind of motorcycles from italy which belong to the piaggio group (aprilia, motoguzzi, laverda, gilera, the spanish company derbi)and they even have a deal with honda

example my honda cbf 250 at zongheng they produce a similar sporty looking bike with basically a copy of my engine but only 230cc
only difference the chinese bikes has 2 bhp more has a larger tank 20 liters, has a nice half fairing and a nicer  exhaust sound
twin dic front single disc rear  and ABS  it only cost half the price somtimes even less

Don't want to be rude Toad but have you ever st on an SRX? I am only 5' 8" and when I stand up on my SRX with both feet flat on the floor it slops around underneath me. It will pull along nicely at above legal speeds with full camping gear and regularly takes me over to Holland. Kicker only, a brilliant lkittle bike. Look for the Luddite on our pics section, Silver with 'dicked' tail.
PS I also manage to ride a standard DR750 Suzuki alyhough stopping can be quite amusing!

If I'm not working I'll be away on my bike camping!

Its about time somebody managed to put a 650 motor in a 125 frame for us little people without it having to be a chopper style. With an inside leg of 29" and an arm length of 18" (go on get ya tape measure out and you'll see my problem) what can I we except ride 125's and 250's?

Dunno what my reach is but my inside leg is a lofty 29" ;) and I manage an MuZ Mastiff :)

Yes I'd really love one of these, (the 500 with electric start) but I think they  are out of my price range at the moment.I'll keep an eye out for one though. Do you know if they all have the gear shift on the right?

Hi Toad,

That electra with the lower seat has left hand gears and leccy start. I'm not sure about other models. Nice isn't it. I can't afford one either.

Toad,

Go for the SZR, I'm 5' 8" and it's a good fit - proper little sportsbike made for short-arses! Reminds me of my old E reg TZR250, until you start it up.....

Cheers,

Mav.

Dave

The Sixty-5 is Lecky-start and 5-speed left foot change.
Steffan has a rather nice Army model Sixty-5.

Dont tell him !.....but i nearly stuck it in a hedge.....got confused...so used to my right foot change Enfield.
Tried braking with my left foot and changing gear with my right.
Mines t'other way round.
Smashing bikes and there are some cheap ones out there.

You could do worse than have a look at what BAT motorcycles have in stock They're in Biggin Hill and import some decent stuff from the Japanese market. Gooses (Geese????) come up quite regularly but they might be able to source a bike for just right for you. Worth a go, eh?

I also like the look of the Honda GB500 TT, but they don't seem to come up for sale very often.
