Hi Steve
It actualy looks worse now than after the first photo. But it is coming along.Engine has been fitted to a new fabricated rear mounting frame that replaces the alloy one.i have roughly done the wiring(not my strong point)and it fired up after it only turned over a few times, which considering it has been sat in Steve D front room for 2years and possibly in a friends garage for a further 3/4 years i thought it was a good sign.I have the single sided swing arm from a Hond VFR400 also fitted to the fabricated frame with new bearings and s/ s bolts.I have had a oil tank made from alloy that will sit in the frame under the seat behind the carb.I am on with the front engine down tube at the moment which will have to hold the two radiators from a Aprilia trail bike(ebay special).still lots to do but having fun.It might handle like a dog when its finished but thats part of the fun too.I must try to take some more photos and post them.
How are you doing with you bikes?
Regards
Alan

Alan,

The Goose sounds quite impressive. Id recommend sourcing a decent thermostat and piping, not sure what the Muz kit is like but the SZR always ran very cold. I ended up blocking half the rad off to and then it only ran luke warm.
As for the SRX I decided that rebuilding the seized engine was going to be to time consumming so Ive decided to re-use the original engine, which is ok but has a small oil leak from the base gasket. This way I might actually get to ride the bike !.
Ive decided on a paint scheme and hopefully found someone to paint it all. Just need to sort a rear disc and put it all back together.
