fork assembly xbr
« on: November 09, 2015, 02:00:37 PM »
Was chatting with an old hand about converting the front end to a twin disk assembly. Haven't done any quality research yet but was looking at the zzr600 for a donor front end for asthetics and the era but would like to keep the triple clamps of the xbr. Not sure if the diameters match. More research to come...
Wondering if anyone on here has done this..?

I looked at going to a two disc set up but couldn't find any forks long enough, except for those from the old CB750/900F and the spring rates and damping weren't suitable. I went for a 320mm disc with a GSXR600 4-pot caliper and a fork brace. I'm pretty sure that the ZZR600 forks would be too large a diameter and too short.

Yes the 650 Eurosport fits but I'm not sure if you can use the XBR yokes - I seem to remember you have to fit the whole front end but I may be wrong.
