This years XBR rebuild
« on: November 05, 2014, 04:24:01 PM »
First pic of the modified engine I have also finished some other parts of the bike, I painted and rebuilt the rear wheel and swinging arm assembly with some more titanium bolts and washers, and the front end is rebuilt with the shortened stanchions

That looks bloody lovely :)
If I'm not working I'll be away on my bike camping!

That looks excellent. It is so nice to see personalised bikes, especially when they are done as well as yours.

The wheels are from the late model XBR bought from another member of this site. I spent 3 years looking for a set, they are pretty tough to get hold of, I have seen a few sets on Ebay from Germany crop up from time to time, be prepared to be shocked at the price though

Thanks for that, i will not be paying mega bucks for them. I will either convert the comstars with stainless rings and drill the original rims or go the CB250 RS route.
If i can get a CB250 front to try at a cheap price i will try that first. I can re-spoke a wheel ok, done a few before.
