XBR500 oil pipe O rings
« on: September 23, 2013, 10:46:01 AM »
Hi, no doubt this topic has been covered before (I have searched). I need the 2 green and 2 black O rings that seal the oil pipes from the tank to the engine. Can anyone direct me to a supply source or send me links to previous postings?
Many thanks

Dave Silver can get them but they are £3 each! Any other source for these?

Hi Chris, Regarding your post on XBR O-rings. I don't know if you are sorted, but I have just recieved my "all too regular" allocation of junk mail from CPC. They stock the large red plastic display boxes holding just about every possible size of O-ring you could need..... 419 individual rings in 32 metric sizes. £5-92 plus vat ( £ 7-10 ). I don't need any at the moment, but I will have one at that price, it would be foolish to pass up that price. They are CPC.co.uk  and their order code / item number is FN0264510, and it can be found in the Tools, Hardware and Storage section. Hope you get sorted. Regards, Tony

Many thanks for the reply. The O rings on the oil pipes are not round in cross section but are more like sleeves so I do not think that a standard O ring will do the job. Looks like I will just have to open my wallet - not easy for a Yorkshireman.
