Installing LEDs on a XBR500
« on: August 26, 2013, 12:26:25 PM »
Hi all

Anyone having a good suggestion on where to install a set of LEDs on a XBR500? Where to hide the LED Load Resistors and so on..

Thinking about installing these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Custom-Micro-LED-Motorbike-Indicators-Fits-Buell-1125-Cafe-Racer-CR-M2-Cyclone-/150825975953?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item231dedc091

Thanks a lot

why fit resistors? why not instead get a new flasher relay thats made for led indicators, then you wont need to try and create an artificial load for your flasher relay. the led relay just plugs in to your loom the same as your standard relay does. this fad for fitting resistors instead of an led relay is a crazy idea that essentially creates a problem and then solves it by creating another potential problem.

well just do an ebay search for electronic indicator relay. most chinese bikes have them for some reason, but a general search will get you one.

Is there some that will fit directly, or will I in cases have to fix with the wires?

Thanks!

all you need to know is how many pins does it have 2 or 3 (sometimes, but not often, 4) and look on ebay, theyre only a fiver or so, and as all relays have the same connections, you just unplug the old one and plug the new one in its place,
