DONT remove the oil pump. just leave it as it is, run it on fully synth oil, the problem with tuning is that its a compromise, you can make it go quicker by tuning, but it will use more fuel and oil and be less reliable. i wasnt really aware that the kmx200 had a reputation for being short of go. why are you contemplating tuning a bike thast you havent even run on the road yet. id give it a couple of months as it is before deciding to start messing with it. as for removing the airbox lid, well when you put in more air, you are going to have to mess with the jetting. you dont get something for nothing. more air means it needs more petrol. if you dont and it runs too lean you will lose power and risk holing a piston. i think kawasaki engineers know more about the kmx 200 than a bunch of guys on a forum.
