What a pleasant evening we had  :)

Boyd and SimonM turned up at my house at exactly the same moment and for a minute I wondered if they were a secret couple. This would have had ramifications for later in the evening as they were due to share the same room for sleeping. Happily (or perhaps unhappily?) it was just coincidence.

My brother (Silverfox) turned up and drove us the huge distance of 600 metres to the pub (The Plough). Julian was there waiting for Boyd. After an expensive pint we adjourned to the nearby Earl Haig British Legion club, where we found a fair number of TC reprobates already installed at the bar.

We then had a most enjoyable evening, talking bollocks and quizzing Boyd about his new home. The Club laid on sandwiches and curry and chips for us, so nobody starved  ;)

When we got back to my place, Boyd and Simon entertained me with some ukulele tunes (Simon had brought his 'axe' with him).

On Sunday morning we drove down to my dad's cafe to give Boyd his final full English fry up for a while. Later on Sunday I met up with him again, back in the Earl Haig, watching bands at the club's monthly jam session. And then it really was time to say goodbye to a bloke who has been part of the fabric of this club and my biking life for the last ten years.

But it's not really goodbye is it. He'll be as present here as ever, I'm sure, and perhaps at a rally in the future he will saunter in, buy us a beer and eat all our free food as if he'd never been away :)

Enjoy your adventure Boyd, and thanks for all the giggles  ;)

No, Graham that was Jesus who is with us always, Boyd will be in the Gulf and we will be here, he will not be with us until he is with us, unless you have stopped taking those nice supplements again.

 :P

Unless you are saying that he might as well have been in the Gulf for the amount of time he has been around??

A massive "Thanks!" to you all for the excellent times I've had over the last ten years. The send off was more than I could have asked for and no less than I would have expected from a good bunch of friends. Very sorry to going but things move on, and I'm sure we'll meet again at some point.  :'(

Best Wishes and Good Luck to You All

He's off tomorrow.

All the best, Boyd.  We'll keep checking on the blog to see how you're doing.

Enjoy your new life, you brave man!

Cheerio to Boyd. Best wishes from the crew in Norn Iron. A word of warning! Never approach a camel from the rear. I was witness to a unfortunate incident which left Tony Ross severely traumatised and the camel with exceedingly ugly twins. A lesson to us all.

What hump, are you talking about camels, I know Boyd is off to the desert but is that really necessary?
