Anyone else doing the Bruce rally or am I Billy-no-mates? ;)

GC

You really oughtn't stick you chin out like that GC, figuratively speaking.

Keith and I are checking out a place below the Blaenau turn, looks OK too.

I await a set of handlebars, bike in bits and haven't even started to think about gear.

Suppose I could use the 150??

Then I would be Billy no brakes

Unfortunately this was organised after I had booked a converted barn and am responsible( :o) for my party of 20, otherwise I would be there in support.

I've got no idea what to expect of the event, but the Jack Frost rally was held there a few years ago and it was fun. I'm looking forward to it.

Richard, I'd be Billy-no-Bike too if it hadn't been for the generosity of my brother, he's been a star.

I rode the ER5 outfit tonight with its smaller gearbox sprocket fitted and it goes well. It still doesn't have the poke of Simon's new CB500 outfit, which shows how good a choice he made. With no gearing mods he can pull away easily, cruise at 70 and still return mpg in the low to mid 50s.

That was close.  Fortunately I've managed to borrow a GS500 from Roy.

Thanks Roy, this deserves a few beers.

I am also amazed by how low the seat height is, as a shortarse I can get BOTH feet flat on the floor.

Now wondering if one could caff one up.

I have had recent email conversation with Graham Bradshaw of the Conwy Club, in which he has told me that the control caravan will be there from about 8am to 6pm, failing which I shall pm you my mobile phone number so that you can ring me and get final directions :)
