Need a few measurements (XBR standard exhaust)
« on: August 22, 2011, 01:30:19 PM »
As my bike is nowhere near my current location, I need someone with the standard exhaust at hand to measure some diameters and distances. I need these while fabricating my one-off all stainless exhaust. The measurements I need are described in the picture below.

A = The length of the collar on a standard XBR exhaust
B = The length of the tube that goes in the exhaust port
C = The outer diameter of the tube that goes in the exhaust port
D = The outer diameter of the collar on a standard XBR exhaust
E = The distance between the screw holes on the standard XBR exhaust flange (measured between the centers of the holes)
F = The inner diameter of the pipe flange center hole

Hopefully someone has these parts at hand since I'm in a bit of a hurry with these. Measurements in mm's (± 0,05mm), please.

Hi Kaff,

Ok, I've taken these measurement from an old standard exhaust and flange I have , they were a bit rusty but these measurements should be right.

A - 5mm
B - 8mm
C - 38mm
D - 42mm

E - 58mm
F - 45mm * On the original XBR Exhaust there are 2 semi circular split collars that help seal the exhaust, if you are not going to use these then
may need to adjust this measurement to suit your exhaust. Also the original exhaust is double skinned if you need to know the
Internal measurement of 'C' is 28mm.

Thanks a lot Steve for these measurements! I'm planning on using the split collars with the new exhaust, but I need to roll new ends for the header pipes on a lathe to fit in between the exhaust ports and the pipes. I only need the external measurement for "C" as my header pipes will be slightly more roomy with an internal diameter of 29,7mm.
