Now strange as it may seem I have a CG and a spare engine in the shed - was given to me for The Boss to learn to ride on (eeeeek she was headed towards the greenhouse...) and then to play with.  There was a lad in MK years ago with a cafe racer CG looked real cool and was cheap and fun.  He had played around with the carb etc but had never got as far as grinding the cam base circle and followers etc - just to see - he only had one engine.  Now I have on in the bike and one in bits....

Mind I have too many pjxs and not enough time and money already

Just be very careful.  Loads of scams and amazingly inaccurate ages on things there.

To be honest, I'd rather obtain a decent s/h HONDA cg motor than (waste?) money on a copy made in China or the like.....

I hear lots of stories about how crap they are, but the two owners of chinese bikes I know seem to have had little trouble.

A guy told me the other day he bought a Chinese carb for his Honda CG. It cost £25 and went straight on with no fuss. The bike ran better with that carb than it ever had with the Honda item.

All they have to do os nail the quality issue and they will take over the (biking) world.
