I have to say that the one thing that  puts me off touring Norway is the cost of alcohol. I don't drink a huge amount, but if it's a holiday, I like a beer or two. Having said that, the scenery probably makes up for it and let's face it, it's always nice seeing a place without a hangover.

I've always hankered after a visit to two sites in Oslo. They have some preserved viking longboats and nearby they have 'Fram', Nansen and Amundsen's polar exploration ship.

I took a couple of bottles of Whiskey with me....much needed after Skinny Dipping at Midnight...! Still pretty much light at that time of day...in June.
The two of us polished them off quite easily within the 10 days we were there.Just a snort or two before bed time
