Hey all. After many years of dreaming about it I've finally found a XR thumper  ;D to call my own. Problem is this... She's completely off-road and I'd like to make her (barely) road legal. If anyone perhaps has an idea ??? of how the electrical configuration needs to work or ANY other advice to give... Please do so. Also I need a few items including mirrors, mudguards and other minor spares like an entire wiring loom :o etc. Any help on where I could source parts for my baby would also be greatly appreciated.

Thanx
TMC

If you need a complete harness then it might be worth thinking of going to a 250RS harness, alternator, regulator CDI etc, this will give you 12v electrics, instead of the 6v you current have.

There seems to be a few people there who know their onions. There's a big section on XRs.
