Dragon dress code part two
« on: December 10, 2006, 02:07:37 PM »
If you are game for the smoking jacket and cap theme for the Saturday at the Dragon then my advice is to search for dressing gowns on Ebay rather than smoking jackets. It would appear that smoking jackets are doing a brisk trade (I know I can't believe it either) whereas there are plenty of eqaully lurid dressing gowns fetching much less.

You can buy new smoking caps on Ebay for £15, but I reckon a short stint at the sewing machine will be enough to knock up an acceptable copy, complete with curtain tie-back tassle.

Cheers

I won't name names, but one Dragoneer has already had his missus sewing up a very fine purple velvet smoking cap with tassle, bloody marvellous :-)

Juat made my smoking hat using a velvet(een) scarf bought from a charity shop for 50p. It looks effing lovely.

Also booked rooms in Rhayader for the Thursday night before the Dragon as we intend making it a three day event this year. Plenty of space left in the B&B if you want to join us:
