a). I don't actually know how to spell Morrocco

b). What happened to the proposed trip to that place I can't spell?

As it happens I was last in Morocco in about 1972 on a trip with my family that ended badly when it transpired that we were loosely involved in a drug buying scam gone bad... there are aspects of my family life that you really couldn't make up  :o Oh happy memories  :D :D

I thought Steffan, Andy and Simon M were discussing a trip to Morocco... I think it all came up at the time I was having a break form the club forum so I am not certain of the details.

It got put on hold. We have plans doing different things at different times, so the first free window of opportunity when everyone was safe to plan for was sometime in 2037  :-\ If things change it'll be back on, but nothings certain.

Ken, if you fancy Morocco go now. Reports from people I've talked to over the last year are that certain areas and pistes are so crowded with 4X4's full of tourists and lunatics on quad bikes that it's almost pointless going. The authorities are getting lots of EU money to pave all the roads and the locals are getting hacked off to the point where there are documented cases of barbed wire stretched across the road at neck height to a quad biker.

When I was there in 2003 it was an open, friendly, beutiful place. I think now they are turning it into a mini Spain with all the growing pains that involves. The start of Africa now seems to be well to the south which means expedition territory paperwork wise and coming home on the bus if you break something.

I did wonder where the No 25 bus came from. Some days it runs quite late and when it does arrive there are no seats. Also no where to put one's Gladstone bag as the luggage space is full of crates of chickens.

I'll go and find my seat on the roof.........

Dr Rob, I presume.........

I dont know the full story but I assume you mean overland on thumpers?  I think I could be up for that or Norway but dont fancy riding alone.
I am in need of another good trip. All I have so far is 8 days in France on my Francis Barnett in June.
