XBR Nose fairing

I've just acquired an Emgo Viper fairing for Wee Arfur the XBR.  Trouble is, all I've got is the fairing, no brackets, no instructions, nuffink!

Now, I can figure out ways to mount it using my Shedi powers, but just wondered if anyone had photos/illustrations/whatever of the 'approved' method, can't seem to find much on the interwebnet thing.

As usual, (sensible - yeah, right!) suggestions are always welcome.

'Gonzo' has fitted his to a 1976 CB750 Super Sport, OK it's a bit different from Arfur (not as characterful), but may email you some images if you contact direct. Worth a shot.

Thanks for the quick response chaps (all sensible too - what's gone wrong?) - pretty much all that is to be found of any use about these fairings.  You'd think that Emgo didn't want anyone to buy their products, and certainly not to actually fit them to their bike, whatever next, petrol that burns?

Any road up - all info so far points to 2 mount points (pre-drilled holes) taking brackets onto the headlight mounts.  My years as a Padawan to a Shedi Master have not been wasted, see?  I think I might just add a bracing point at the mirror mounts as the fairing just brushes past them anyway and I remember a similar fairing (on an RD250 back in the Jurassic) flapping about when 'making progress'.

Right, got some stainless steel sheet and a hacksaw at the ready - will report back if/when my mission is completed.  Probably not for a while as I'm off in the unmentionable* for the next fortnight.

Don't know if they are any good to you, but I have a set of mounting brackets for a National Cycles LS Flyscreen with leg clamps. Chrome and polished alloy.  Like the picture below but with curved arms. Would probably suit a flyscreen type fairing better but if they are any use you can have them very cheap.

Thanks for the offer Steve, but I think I've got it sussed.  Working for a lorry tail-lift manufacturer has certain perks, namely fairly free access to the skip load of off-cuts and a factory full of welders, drills, presses, plasma cutters, CNC machines ..... and the people who know how to work these devices!

I'm thinking in terms of a pair of straight brackets from the side of the fairing (pre-drilled holes there) to the headlight, a bottom brace onto the horn mount and a pair of teeny little clips onto the mirror mounts.  Solid!  Now I just have to see my mate John on the Haas CNC box and buy him a drink (or two).

Just fitted a PRO-AM Accessories LINTEK fairing to my XBR (bought off e-bay) that looks the same as yours. It has two substantial brackets from the sides of the fairing attaching to the headlamp retaining bolts which seem to be enough. They look like a squared off letter C. However I have added a couple of small supports each side going from the rearmost bolts that join the perspex to the fairing down to the handlebars but on my fairing I don't think they are neccessary.
