DR wiring
« on: November 14, 2006, 09:17:20 AM »
The light on the DR are pretty poor, a quick probing with a multi-meter a few months ago highlighted that there was only 11 volts getting to the headlight. I tried to work out were the poor connection was but rapidly ran out of enthusiasm. So following in Pats good example I got of my arse and wired up the relays Ive been staring at for the last few months. To my surprise it all work first time, I now have really bright lights and I have even managed to wire it so I dont need to cut into the harness, a quick tidy up and some waterproofing and its sorted. Might even ride it one day

I had an R100 BM that I wired main and dip on together for main. Best lights ever. If the DR alt can keep up, thats the way to go if you have already wired in relays.
