July meet
« on: July 08, 2009, 11:24:09 PM »
I was thinking of having a little TC meet at the 'Three Magpies' pub near Devizes in late July. It's a nice campsite and there's the astoundingly pretty town of Lacock nearby which would be a nice spot to visit.

I'll be rolling along with my wife and kids, but that's not to say that unaccompanied riders won't be welcome  ;)

Anyone fancy it?

I would have suggested going along to the rallysite we have used at Crewkerne but we've burned our bridges there after cancelling our booking for the annual rally. Just remind me, how many TCers actually ended up going to Germany? Doh!  ;) :D

...la, la, la, i know Lack of *******ing intrest!!!

It's hard not to take that as a dig. However, my boys are looking forward to it and I suppose that's all that counts. I just thought it better to mention it than not.

GC crack on and do it, if you and the family enjoy it that's what matters, if some TC'ers come along all to the good, if there are people that can't be a**ed or don't want to go, so what? There are lots that had no interest in this weekends GP, doesn't make it a bad/pointless thing, many were interested.
I personally think football is the biggest overhyped waste of time money and column inches ever invented, but if people want to pay money to the poor impoverished clubs to watch it then that's their business  ;)

Good luck, I hope you have fun and thanks for the heads up, though it's a bit too far for me to make it this time  ;)

I'll be up for this - never stayed anywhere in Wiltshire.  Only ever passed through on the way to somewhere else.  Is this a weekend jaunt or a one-day thing?  I'm not sure the old bones will take a 300-mile trip on the little thumper in one day, but you never know.

I presume the village is Lac0ck?

That's the one, very pretty, nice tea shops, and a musuem dedicated to that early photographer fella (Fox-Talbot?)

One glitch is that wifey seems to have filled my calendar, I'll need to check this out and post a proper date.
