bsa budget build
« on: April 28, 2009, 09:56:47 PM »
i built this budget bsa c15 as a 40th birthday pressie for a mate of mine. entire budget so far, including the cost of buying the original bike, the build, paint, tyres wiring and everything used to build it, comes in at £283, yep, under 300 quid for a tidy little brit thumper. this is the bike as it stands tonight, but the full build and all the pics are listed over on the classic bike forum. here, http://www.classicbikeforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=269

Very nice John, I hope your mate gets as much enjoyment out of it as you seem to have done building it. :)

My regards, Bill.

Superb story John and a salutory reminder that if you rebuild a bike that way you can get it built. A lot of the types who agonise over not having the correct finish on their tool box mounting bolts end up with a half-finished project for years. Your pragmatic approach to making the mudguard stays fit is a fine example of practicality over slavish originality.

Marvellous stuff

Nice bike.

Shows how it should be done.
