XBR500 exhaust port flanges
« on: April 01, 2009, 01:09:54 PM »
Guys,

Does anybody know where I can get a pair of XBR500 exhaust flanges? I have sourced the split collars and gaskets from David Silver but can't find the flanges.

I believe the flanges are plain oval, as per the Micron exhaust system, but am struggling to find them.

I can always get some made but sourcing original or pattern parts is more desirable as it is cheaper.

Regards,

Andy

I got mine from David Silver- they're a sort of grey colour, not great but they do the job. £10.50 each if I remember rightly. There was someone selling stainless ones on eBay recently for £25. I haven't fitted mine yet, so if you need sizes etc, let me know.

The part number seems to be 18231mk400 that appears to be out of stock in most places, except for this German website

Good luck.

Hi Dave,

I called David Silver and they told me they no longer stocked the exhaust flanges. If you could take a quick trace of one it would be hugely useful if I have to get some machined.

Thanks and regards,

Andy

Hi Bob,

I am not sure but if memory serves me correctly it's the same engine so that's a 'probable' yes but it would take one of the more knowledgeable brethren to confirm this point. Out of interest do you have some spare that you might consider selling?

Thanks and regards,

Andy

Thank you Crackhead, available from Germany and not too unreasonable.

If all other avenues prove fruitless I will procure some from this supplier.

Thanks and regards,

Andy

I'll have a look in the box of road junk, if they're there they may be a bit rusty, but I won't be able to look until the weekend (it's all at my dads house).

Hi Bob,

Not sure if you got my email as it may have been filtered out by the spam filter? In case you didn't please check your PM's.

Many Thanks,
