I was re-reading Boyd's account of that trip and I realised that there were 15 of us camped together at the site, a large number being TC members. What a bloody good effort eh?

Some happy memories:
Smudge and John turning up and doing the absolute minimum to get the tent up and then they slept for 15 hours on uneven snow.
Bill and Simon putting out the fire that could have been life-threatening for me and my brother.
The fireworks on the Saturday night (and the Scots boy's kilts - see below).
Gareth turning up unannounced after riding solo from the UK.
Gary's hangover.
Our snow fireplace and snow toilet (we're sculpters at heart)
Greg's frequent trips up to our part of camp bearing food.
Being accosted, on arrival at a near empty part of the site, by two gruff Germans who instead of mugging me gave me schnapps.

All good fun
